Affiliate disclosure
How this site makes money, stated plainly, because you should be able to judge our incentives for yourself.
Disclosure: Disclosure: Our Pet Health may earn a commission when you purchase or sign up through certain links on this page. This does not affect the price you pay.
What that means in practice
Some links on Our Pet Health are affiliate links. If you click one and go on to buy something or sign up, the company may pay us a commission or referral fee. You pay exactly the same price either way — affiliate arrangements do not add a markup.
We label these links wherever they appear, not only in the footer. On insurance pages the disclosure sits next to the buttons themselves, because that is where the information is actually relevant.
Affiliate links are marked up with rel="sponsored nofollow", which is how search engines expect monetised links to be declared.
What it does not mean
It does not mean a paying company gets a better score or a higher position. Our provider ordering is computed from editorial scores and verified coverage breadth, and the code that sorts providers does not read the commission or sponsorship fields at all. That is a deliberate structural choice, not a promise.
It does not mean we recommend what pays most. We do not recommend insurance products at all — we are not licensed to, and the comparison tool is explicit that it produces a shortlist to compare, not advice.
Where a provider has paid for a placement, it is labelled "Sponsored" and sits outside the editorial ranking rather than inside it.
Our other revenue
Our Pet Health also runs display advertising and links to pet products in its store on an affiliate basis. The same rule applies throughout: commercial relationships never determine what we say about a product or a policy.
