Our Pet Health is not a pharmacy or a veterinary practice. We do not sell medication, diagnose animals or prescribe treatment.
What this section is, and isn't
This is a product reference, not a pharmacy counter. Each category below explains what that kind of product is designed to do, which species it suits, and — importantly — the signs that mean the right next step is a veterinary examination rather than a purchase.
We separate over-the-counter products from prescription ones deliberately. Prescription medication exists behind a vet because getting it wrong causes harm: heartworm preventives need a negative test first, and many drugs are dosed by weight and monitored for side effects. We will explain what a prescription product category is for. We will not link you to buy one, and we will never tell you what to give your animal.
Species matters more here than anywhere else on this site. A flea product formulated for dogs can kill a cat. Every product we publish carries an explicit species list, and if we have not verified it, we say so rather than guessing.

3 records are set up but not yet verified. We publish a product only once its species suitability, warnings and ingredients have been checked against the manufacturer's own current information and dated. An unverified medical product is worse than none.
The category guides below explain what each type of product is for, and when a vet is the right answer instead.
Where to buy
Compare the retailers themselves — what they stock, whether they handle prescriptions, and what we have verified about each one.
Questions owners actually ask
Does Our Pet Health sell medication?
No. Our Pet Health is not a pharmacy and not a veterinary practice. We explain what product categories are for and link to retailers who sell them. Anything you buy is bought from that retailer, under their terms.
Can you tell me what to give my pet?
No, and you should be wary of any site that does. Choosing a medication depends on an examination, the animal's history and its weight — none of which we have. We can explain what a category of product is designed for so the conversation with your vet is a better one.
Why do some products need a prescription?
Because getting them wrong causes harm. Heartworm preventives need a negative test first, since giving one to an infected dog can trigger a serious reaction. Others need dosing by weight or monitoring for side effects. The prescription requirement is a safety mechanism, not paperwork.
Is a product safe for my species of pet?
Only if it says so explicitly. Species differences are large and sometimes lethal — permethrin-based dog flea products can kill cats, and rabbits and small mammals react differently again. Every product here lists the species it is intended for, and we do not assume.
Are supplements regulated like medicines?
Not to the same standard. Supplements are nutritional products and the evidence behind them varies considerably. Tell your vet about anything your pet takes, because supplements can interact with prescribed medication and some vitamins are harmful in excess.
Do you earn money from these links?
Yes, on some of them, and we say so next to the links rather than only in the footer. It does not change the price you pay, and commercial relationships do not affect our editorial scores or the order products appear in.
